Transbike-Adventures
The 2-Continents Adventure is organized by Transbike-Adventures, and the idea and route setup was initiated by long distance cyclists Andy Buchs and Irena Sosinska. The 2-Continents Adventure is the combination of the Iberica-Traversa and the Morocco-BikeAdventure. When the riders arrive in Tarifa they just set over to Tangier in Africa and continue with the Morocco-BikeAdventure route.
Andy Buchs
Riding bikes since the age of 6, besides skiing, cycling is one of Andy’s passions in sport. Using the bike to get to school, university and to explore the world. Traveled all over the Alps, Pyrenees, Island and Greeze in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Later several times in the USA. Since the 80’s Andi also explores trails in the Alps on his mountain bike.
From 2013 on he started in several long distance races all over the world like Tortour Race Switzerland, TCR, Indian Pacific Wheel Race, Trans Am Bike Race, Trans Africa Bike Race, Trans Atlantic Bike Race and Silkroad Mountain Race.
Andy also setup the NorthCape-Tarifa bicycle adventure, the worlds longest road bikepacking event, the 45-SouthWest, the Swiss-BikeAdventure, Iberica-Traversa and the Morocco Bike-Adventure.
Irena Sosinska
The only time Irena seems to be at standstill is when she’s building the wheels that will take her places. Irena is an ultra-endurance and adventure cyclist, one of her very first bicycle adventures took her to the Everest base camp! This spurred a lifetime of traveling around the world in search of the next ultra-endurance bicycle challenge. She traversed extremely remote places on earth, the highest mountain ranges, and deserts, she lifted her bicycle at the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa, the world’s highest free-standing mountain at 5,895m.
